805 ELITE CLUB DIRECTOR CAROLINE WALTERS

CAL POLY ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH, WEST COAST CONFERENCE STANDOUT AND HIGH SCHOOL HALL-OF-FAMER

Caroline Walters is heading into her 9th season as an Assistant Coach with the Cal Poly Volleyball program, serving as Cal Poly’s Interim Head Coach for the 2011 season.

A four-year letter-winner and three-time All-West Coast Conference honorable mention selection at Santa Clara (2003-07), Walters remains second in WCC History with 1,932 career digs and ranks first in Bronco program history with a 4.59 career dig-per-set average.

Walters enjoyed her top collegiate campaign as a sophomore in 2005 as her conference-leading 516 digs – the third highest single season total in Santa Clara history – helped propel the Broncos to a program-record 27 victories, a West Coast championship, a berth into the NCAA Tournament, and ultimately to Santa Clara’s first Final Four and a final ranking of 4th in the AVCA Coaches Top 25 Poll. A four-time team Defensive Most Valuable Player recipient, Walters owns four of the top five single season per-set dig marks in Santa Clara history. A native of Los Gatos, Calif., Walters earned an Accounting Degree from Santa Clara.

Prior to Santa Clara, Walters was a four-year starter at Los Gatos High School under Vision Volleyball Club Director Joe Ripp. In April of 2016 she was one of 10 members of the 13th class of inductees in the Los Gatos High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
